about

The Music was written in 1933 by Vincent Youmans. Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers danced to this in the film Flying Down to Rio. This was their first onscreen dance.
Carioca refers to inhabitants of Rio de Janeiro. We do our own take on it here and include the verse.
We give it a a rockin' feel and get hot.
I used to play this tune years ago with Mic Conway's Hiccups Orchestra. He used to eat fire during this number. There was also rubber chicken juggling I recall. We just play the music.
